RIP sonic + turbo 11/19/23

Kia ora everyone, been a super fun past couple of weeks! Lots of finding opportunities and lots of new people which is always good!

We had a few really really cool lessons with our newly baptized members about patriarchal blessings and going to the temple so I am just beyond excited to see how they grow and progress towards those goals in the future.

I was driving the other day and accidentally ran over a hedgehog, so I'm officially a moster now. It felt only right to name him Sonic; he will be missed. Also stepped on a snail last night, we named him Turbo, I'm sure they both lived very full lives.

Last P-day we played a nice round of golf which was so much fun and I really needed that relaxing day just enjoying the beautiful weather. The weather didn't stay that way though, I don't think it stopped raining once all week which makes for some very interesting missionary work.

We had a really good exchange with the zone leaders this week and I learned a ton about the importance of finding and just talking to EVERYONE you see, even if it's just a simple Hello.

I also had a really cool experience while knocking doors with Elder Rippon; this lady had originally said that she wasn't interested but ad we were walking away I told her she had a very beautiful garden and just struck up a normal conversation with her to make her feel good and shiw her that missionaries are just normal people. She really appreciated the compliment and agreed to meet with us again next week.

So my invitation to y'all today is just to start throwing compliments around where ever you go, obviously make them as genuine as possible but you never know the kind of relationship you can form with someone just by complimenting their garden.

Love each of y'all so much and know that you are in my prayers every night! Have a great week!!
